Taxi to Koh Chang: rates and price calculator
Every price on this page is a fixed price for one car on one route, not per person. The price covers the driver, fuel, tolls and taxes. The table lists each route against the seven cars, and the same fare applies in both directions.

Choose where you start and where you go. You see the final price for every car. The price is for the whole car, not per passenger.
Between December 24 and January 05 our rates increase by 400 baht because of New Year.
Between December 09 and December 12 our rates are increased by 400 baht due to Tomorrowland Festival (trips to Pattaya from Bangkok, the airports, Hua Hin, Nonthaburi, Sriracha and Bang Saen). Between December 13 and December 15 the same 400 baht applies to trips from Pattaya to those places.

How the prices are built
A price depends on two things: the route and the car. The seven cars run from the Toyota Corolla for 3 passengers to the Toyota Commuter for 9, and the page about the cars helps you choose between them.
The same price applies both ways, so the trip back costs what the trip out cost. Waiting for a delayed flight is part of the price. Booking and cancelling are free of charge.
What the price does not cover
The ferry is not included in the price: plus ferry tickets, about 80 THB per person. The ferry and the boat are not included in the price: plus ferry and boat tickets. Boat tickets to Koh Mak and Koh Kood are bought from the boat operators, and their price depends on the boat.
The table lists the island, the Laem Ngop pier and the Laem Sok pier. A hotel on Koh Chang costs more than the pier because the car crosses on the ferry with you and drives on the island. For Bangkok the Standard Sedan costs 3,899 THB to the island and 3,599 THB to the Laem Ngop pier.
Dates with a higher price
From 24 December to 5 January 400 THB is added per car. The surcharge applies to every route in the table. The booking form shows the final price for your date before you send it.
Reading the table and booking
Find your route in the first column, then read across to the car you need. Divide the price of the car by the number of passengers to see the cost per head. The figure in the booking form is the one you pay the driver.
To book, press Book on the row or open the order form, choose the route and the car and enter the hotel or the pier. You pay the driver in cash, or by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, transfer by QR code or bank transfer to a Thai account if you prefer. A route that is not in the table is agreed by email or on WhatsApp at +66 99 393 6644.
Other starting points
The table also lists U-Tapao Airport, Ban Phe, Rayong, Laem Chabang and Hua Hin. A Standard Sedan from Hua Hin to Koh Chang costs 6,299 THB, and from U-Tapao 3,299 THB. These routes have no pages of their own on this site, and the form takes them like any other.
Questions and answers
Is the price per person?
No. It is per car, whatever the number of passengers up to the capacity of the car.
Are the tolls included?
Yes. The driver, fuel, tolls and taxes are in every price.
Why does the price change at New Year?
Between 24 December and 5 January the cars are in demand, and the price rises by 400 THB per car.
Do the ferry tickets come with the taxi?
No. The ferry is not included in the price: plus ferry tickets, about 80 THB per person. Tickets for the boats to Koh Mak and Koh Kood are bought from the boat operators.
Why is the pier cheaper than the island?
To the pier the driver stops at Laem Ngop. To the island the car crosses on the ferry and continues to your hotel.
