White Sands Beach, Koh Chang
White Sands is the first beach on the west coast and the busiest, so it is the shortest island road after the ferry. A Standard Sedan from Bangkok to your hotel here costs 3,899 THB for the whole car, and the driver takes the car across on the ferry with you.

What White Sands is like
Most of the shops, restaurants, bars and tour desks of the island are gathered here, and the beach has more visitors than any other. People choose it when they want a choice of places to eat in the evening and do not want to hire a scooter or a songthaew for every meal.
If you want quiet, look at Chai Chet next door or at Klong Prao. If you want the livelier end of the island, you are already in the right place.
The taxi to White Sands
The car meets you at your Bangkok address, at an airport or in Pattaya, and drives to Laem Ngop. It boards the ferry with you, and the driver leaves you at the door of your resort. Write the name of the hotel and the beach in the order form, and the driver finds it.
The island part of the trip is short, because White Sands comes first on the road that runs south from the ferry landing. The longer part is the road: 5 h 16 min from Bangkok and 4 h 15 min from Pattaya on the price list, with the wait for the ferry and the crossing on top.

The price for the car is the same for every hotel on the island. A Standard Sedan from Suvarnabhumi costs 3,699 THB, from Don Mueang 3,999 THB and from Pattaya 3,299 THB. For 4 people with cases the Toyota Innova costs 4,099 THB from Bangkok. The ferry is not included in the price: plus ferry tickets, about 80 THB per person.
