What the pier fare covers
The fare is per car. The driver, fuel, tolls and taxes are inside it, and the pick-up is at your hotel, condo or house in Bangkok. The drop-off is at the pier you choose in the form. From 24 December to 5 January 400 THB is added per car.
The figure does not depend on the number of passengers or on the traffic.
The pier against the island
The pier costs 3,599 THB. A hotel on Koh Chang costs 3,899 THB, which is 300 THB more, because the car crosses the water with you and drives on the island. The island price page shows that fare.
The pier is the better booking for Koh Mak, for a night on the mainland, or when you are happy to cross on foot and take a songthaew on the island.
Cars and splits
The Standard Sedan (3,599 THB) and the Premium Sedan (3,699 THB) take 3 passengers. The Toyota Innova (3,799 THB) and the Toyota Fortuner (3,899 THB) take 4. The Hyundai H1 takes six at 5,899 THB, and the VIP Commuter takes eight at 5,899 THB. The Toyota Commuter seats nine at 4,499 THB.
Four people in the Innova pay a quarter of 3,799 THB each for the road to the pier.
What you buy at the pier
The ferry and the boat are not included in the price: plus ferry and boat tickets. The crossing costs about 80 THB for a person on foot. Boats to Koh Mak are priced by the operator and differ by boat.
